ILLUMINATION HEALTH + HOME HONORS SHAH FAMILY WITH NEWLY NAMED RECUPERATIVE CARE CENTER
The Shah Family Foundation has given $2.5M to support Illumination’s ongoing work providing healthcare and housing for those experiencing homelessness
SANTA ANA, Calif., April 23, 2025 – Illumination Health + Home, an Orange County-based nonprofit committed to disrupting the cycle of homelessness and the largest provider of family emergency beds in Orange County, has renamed its Broadway Recuperative Care Center in honor of the generosity of its committed donors, the Shah family. Thanks to support from the Shah family, this Anaheim-based recuperative care facility will now be known as the Shah Happiness Recuperative Care Center. In an additional act of generosity to bring a comforting feel of home to the 60 clients served at the facility, the Shah Family also provided rugs for individuals to use in their rooms during their stay.
The Shah Happiness Recuperative Care Center provides safe bridge housing where individuals experiencing homelessness can heal after being discharged from the emergency room or hospital. Upon the recommendation of a hospital or referring agency, individuals receive medical oversight, intensive care management, behavioral health therapy and substance abuse counseling throughout their stay.
