FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – ORANGE, CA. – Feb 04, 2020 – On Thursday February 13, 2020, Illumination Foundation will be honored as “Non-Profit of the Year” in the Anaheim Business Awards event produced by the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce and the City of Anaheim.
An annual event that will honor 16 businesses for their “significant contributions to the regional economy and greater community,” the awards luncheon takes place at the Hilton Anaheim from 11:00 am to 2:00 p.m.
“We at the Anaheim Chamber send our heartfelt congratulations to the Illumination Foundation for the well-deserved honor of being recognized as Non-Profit of the Year at this year’s Anaheim Business Awards,” said Todd Ament, President & CEO of the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce.
“The dedicated team at the Illumination Foundation handles the complexities of the homelessness crisis with dignity and astuteness,” Ament continued.
“A fine example includes how the Illumination Foundation, in collaboration with the City of Anaheim, the Anaheim Chamber of Commerce and Visit Anaheim Cares, came together to construct and open a 200-bed interim emergency homeless shelter in 13 days back in December 2018. The Illumination Foundation’s well-rounded approach in handling homelessness came to light as they not only operated a safe space but also provided care management, counseling and housing navigation.”
