The Illumination Foundation gives families hope each day they are in our program. They receive stable housing, health care services, mental health counseling, case management and life-saving basics such as food and clothing. Our program empowers vulnerable families with the skills to identify and overcome their diverse problems, and improve their lives. I want to…
Host an event at our Children’s Resource Center
(Santa Ana or Stanton) 35 children who are living in transition and at-risk of homelessness are served every day in an after school setting. We provide our children with an “enrichment activity” for the last hour of programming. You are welcome to arrive with your group, usually between 4:30pm – 6pm to host an activity – this can be a game, sport, athletic activity, craft, healthy eating demo, etc. We ask for a minimum of 30 days notice to plan.
Host a Meal Service at our Recuperative Care Center
(Santa Fe Springs) The Illumination Foundation Recuperative Care Center is a 24-hour shelter for homeless individuals recovering from acute medical conditions. Clients look forward to having groups host a meal service to prepare to feed ~50 adults. We ask for the group hosting the meal service to provide the food, utensils and paperware for the event. Meals can be hosted any day of the week, including weekends, and usually takes place between 4:30 pm – 7:30 pm but times can be flexible. No children under the age of 16 allowed at this center. We ask for a minimum of 30 days notice to plan.
Host a Meal Service at our Theriault Emergency Home
(Stanton) The Theriault Emergency Home is a safe place to serve homeless families with children and provide critical services to help with transitioning into long-term housing. Clients look forward to having groups host a monthly meal service to prepare to feed ~50 people. We ask for the group hosting the meal service to provide the food, utensils and paperware for the event. Meals can be hosted any day of the week, including weekends, and usually takes place between 5:30 pm – 7:30 pm. We ask for a minimum of 30 days notice to plan. This site is limited to monthly services – we require a commitment of at least 6 months.

The distribution is hosted in a toy tent where the parents are able to select the toy for their child and have the opportunity to gift the item to their child in their own way.
Hygiene Items – Donations accepted year-round
Hygiene items are distributed to our clients in our recuperative care program upon arrival to our site. In addition, we distribute hygiene kits to our street homeless community in our outreach efforts throughout the Santa Ana River Trail and Santa Ana Civic Center.

- All event dates & logistics are subject to change.
- In efforts to ensure donor funds go directly towards vital services for our homeless clients, such as; housing, medical, and educational services, most special events rely on sponsorship & underwriters to make the event possible. The Illumination Foundation reserves the right to cancel any event, which does not have appropriate sponsorship and/or underwriting in place. We rely on community members like YOU to make this a better place for the homeless families and children we serve!
