Thank You KC's Mission for the Back-to-School Carnival!, August 20, 2009
On August 20th KC's Mission hosted a Back-to-School carnival for the children at Costa Mesa Motor Inn. Over 100 kids attended and had a terrific time!
The carnival was filled with laughter from people of all ages. KC's Mission provided a bounce house, fishing games, bean bag and ring tosses, darts, art projects, and even received 112 donated cakes for the cake walk! Dressed as princesses, clowns, pirates, cowboys and cowgirls, Indians, and bakers, the KC's Mission team provided hours of entertainment for our families.
Kids ran around the motel with painted faces and pirate tattoos, playing with balloon animals and enjoying the festivities . The fun didn't stop with the games! There was a delicious barbecue, and the air was filled with the aroma of cotton candy and popcorn.
At the heart of the festivities was the back-to-school theme. KC's Mission provided enough school supplies for all of the children in the Illumination Foundation for the entire upcoming school year.
KC's Mission provided a once-in-a-lifetime event for the IF families and for everyone staying at the Costa Mesa Motor Inn. Their thoughtfulness and creativity was thrilling for all attendees, and we are very grateful for their generosity . IF is thrilled about plans for the carnival next year!
