GIVE A DAY AND CHANGE LIVES
Every day, thousands of families throughout Orange County find themselves without a home. They sleep wherever they can each night, doubled up, in their cars or in parks. They struggle to build a brighter future for their children.
The first day that a family enters our program, it is a new beginning. This day is the critical turning point in improving their lives and it will begin their journey toward a better future.
The Illumination Foundation gives families hope each day they are in our program. They receive stable housing, medical services, mental health counseling, case management and life-saving basics such as food and clothing. For just $30 dollars per day, per family, we provide the stability and tools to help a family succeed in life.
This is your opportunity to start this new beginning for a homeless family in our community and help us provide a safe environment for a family to launch them toward self-sufficiency.
Each day that you pledge will bring us closer to breaking the cycle of homelessness.
One Day = $30
On the first day that a family enters the program, they are given a comfortable room and assigned a case manager and mental health counselor. This team will work with them throughout their time with IF to ensure that they are meeting mutually set goals and progressing towards independence.
One Week = $210
Within a week a family will have met with both their Case Manager and Counselor and attended a resident's meeting with other IF families. Their children will be assessed to ensure that they are regularly attending school and are receiving the tutoring and counseling that they need to succeed.
One Month = $900
After a month in our program, families are well under way toward self-sufficiency. In just a month, the families in our program will have participated in as many as 28 meetings and classes on financial literacy, employment counseling, life skills, parenting skills and much more.
One Quarter = $2700
Within a quarter, we begin to witness significant changes in the family and children we serve. At this point, many children in the program begin to receive accolades. Parents will have found employment and are using our savings program to prepare for graduation. In fact, a good portion of the families in our program will have graduated by now.
One Half Year = $5400
In 6 months, most families are able to graduate from the Illumination Foundation into stable housing. By sponsoring a family for 6 months, you will make a positive impact that will benefit the community for generations to come. Your generosity will help bring Illumination Foundation one family closer to eliminating this enormous strain on community resources.
