Interim Supportive Shelter
Benefit to the Community
Provide homeless families from the cold weather armories with housing in motel rooms and on-site services to effectively transition them into permanent housing
2011 Goals
- Serve 100 families and transition as many as possible into stable housing conditions
Program Strategies
- Increase the number of families accepted into transitional shelter programs from the County's Cold Weather Emergency Shelter Winter Armories
- Provide homeless families with housing in motel rooms and on-site services including: case management, medical services, behavioral health counseling, job counseling, financial literacy, tutoring and life skills
